BRMC's Inpatient Rehabilitation Program Receives CARF Stroke Specialty, Amputee Specialty and Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Accreditations
Bay Regional Medical Center's Inpatient Rehabilitation Program has received accreditations as a Stroke Specialty Program and as an Amputee Specialty Program granted for three years. Also, for the seventh consecutive time, the hospital has received a three-year accreditation by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, for its Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults.
This accreditation outcome represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, and are measurable and accountable.
Bay Regional Medical Center's Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit includes physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapy, social work, physician services, and rehabilitation nursing.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is located at Bay Regional Medical Center's West Campus, 3250 E. Midland Road in Bay City. For more information about Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit services, please call (989) 667-6605.
